Dear Ed,

So Karl Hoskin thinks we are impotent to alter climate change. John Cade is correct.Burning fossil fuels creates carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas. What we should do Karl,is stop burning fossil fuels, which is why scientists are trying to harness sun-power either via solar cells or copying the nuclear processes in the sun. We can also use wind and wave power. The idea that a volcano compares to what mankind is doing is absurd.Fossil fuels are compounding the problem. The more Co2 there is the more heat gets trapped, turning the Earth into a Venus-like planet incapable of supporting life. If Karl is happy to sit on his impotent backside and commit suicide, that is up to him. I am with John,we need to do something about it - and we are,but not enough.
